Visit to the Divine College of Medical Sciences

The RF team really enjoyed visiting the Divine College of Medical Sciences and the newly built Divine Hospital and Holistic Health Village.

The College started in 2021. Mrs Bhavana Chauhan, an Associate Professor, kindly showed us around. There are 300 nursing students and 200 students from other departments eg pharmacy, BMT, Biomedical courses. It was great to see the students who have scholarships via RF and we were so pleased to hear that they are doing well and enjoying the course. The BSE nursing course is 4 years and GNM 3 years. Nurses also learn midwifery alongside too. The nurses previously went to RKMS & SVHM Ram Prakash hospital to work. The team requested Dr Priya Patel to do a gynaecology talk for the students next time.
The Divine Hospital and Holistic Health Village is a new hospital which opened in November ‘25. Students from the college have now started to go to the hospital for duties and experience. Himanshu (previously studied at DPSM) is the director and it was heartening to see him taking and enjoying this senior role. His enthusiasm was apparent when he showed us around.
